Dr. Ashraf is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified physician with nearly two decades of clinical experience in both primary care and hospital-based medicine.
He has an extensive background in medical leadership, health care quality and utilization improvement measures, student and resident education and is published in academic journals. Throughout his medical career and education, he has had several achievements and has been part of medical organizations that represent the highest levels of scientific integrity, including: Fellow, Society of Hospital Medicine; Member of the American College of Physicians and WV-ACP Conference Case Presentation First Place Award Recipient; “Alumni Scholar” Award and Scholarship, University of Connecticut; “Day of Pride” Honoree, University of Connecticut.
Fatima Aziz, MD, Fairfax, VA Primary Care Physician
Dr. Fatima Aziz is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified physician with over fifteen years of clinical experience in multiple settings including primary care, chronic care management, hospital medicine and critical care. Of recent, she was engaged with Kaiser Permanente's (DC) successful program that facilitated 24/7 care of complex patients with multiple co-morbidities. Previously, she was in private practice serving primary care and internal medicine patients in West Virginia. While she will continue to serve primary care needs of Carelife Medical patients, her interest include skin and primary level dermatologic treatments and aesthetics with a special focus on laser-based treatments and similar modalities. She has completed several training and certifications through Cutera, a leading manufacturer of FDA approved medically-oriented laser equipment.
Dr. Aziz is graduate of the prestigious Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi. During her medical school clerkship, she also carried out clinical course work with Harvard Medical School in Boston. She subsequently completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at West Virginia University-Charleston Division. Previously she completed her undergraduate studies from Kinnaird College For Women, and matriculated from Convent of Jesus and Mary in Lahore. She is fluent in English and Urdu.
GLENDA WILSON THOMAS DNP, APRN, FNP-C, Fairfax, VA Primary Care Physician/h2>
Dr. Thomas is a Family Nurse Practitioner, certified in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC.
Her emphasis is on primary care and disease prevention for a highly diverse patient population. Dr. Thomas was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to the U.S. after high school, and started her nursing career in Florida. In 2016, Dr. Thomas earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from George Mason University. She believes the best healthcare delivery model includes a strong connection with each patient, active collaboration of care, and employing all healthcare providers to their full scope of practice.
